Center seat belt retractor mechanism 60/40 (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Release the seat belt retractor cover and guide

• Remove two screws.
• Remove the seat belt guide.
• Remove the inertia reel cover.

2. Remove the lower seat belt anchor.

• Raise the seat cushion.
• Unscrew and discard the nut.

3. Remove the seat belt inertia reel assembly.

• Remove and discard the Torx head bolt.

Installation

1. Install the seat belt inertia reel assembly.

• Tighten the new Torx head bolt (tightening torque 40 Nm).

2. Install the seat belt retractor cover and seat belt guide.

• Attach the seat belt retractor cover and seat belt guide.
• Tighten the screws.

3. Install the lower seat belt anchor.

• Tighten the new nut. (tightening torque 40 Nm).
• Lower the seat cushion.
