The receiver is an air chamber that provides a high rate of increase in suspension height due to the immediate supply of compressed air to the system.
The receiver is made of steel and is located on the outer side of the left longitudinal beam of the chassis, in front of the compressor block. There are brackets on each side of the receiver for attachment to the body support brackets on the chassis.
At the rear of the receiver there is a Voss type fitting, to which an air hose is attached to connect to the receiver valve block.
The receiver has a volume of 550 inches3 (9 liters). Receiver rated working pressure is 243.6 lbf/in2 (16.8 bar), and the maximum is 33.5 lbf/in2 (23 bar).
