The receiver is an air chamber that provides a high rate of increase in suspension height due to the immediate supply of compressed air to the system.
The receiver is made of steel and is located on the outside of the left longitudinal beam of the chassis, in front of the compressor unit. On each side of the receiver there are brackets for fastening to the support brackets of the body on the chassis.
At the rear of the receiver there is a Voss-type fitting to which an air hose is attached for connection to the receiver valve block.
The receiver has a volume of 550 in3 (9 liters). The nominal working pressure of the receiver is 243.6 psi (16.8 bar), and the maximum is 33.5 psi (23 bar).
