Removal



For all cars

1.
CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Always place safety stands under the vehicle.


Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.

3. Remove the lower control arm. For more information, refer to Lower Control Arm (60.35.02)

4. Remove the retaining ring.

5. Inspect the installed ball joint to determine if there is any rounding.

6. Using special tools, remove the ball joint.

6. Install the lower control arm. For more information, refer to Lower Control Arm (60.35.02)

7. Install the wheel and tire assembly. Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm (103 lbs/ft).
