Removal


1.
CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.


Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the wheel.

3. Loosen the axle shaft mounting nut.

4. Disconnect the brake hose bracket from the steering knuckle. Remove the bolt.

5. Remove the wheel speed sensor mounting bolt.

CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang by the brake hose.


Disconnect the brake caliper support plate from the steering knuckle, move the caliper to the side and tie it. Unscrew 2 bolts. Tie it to the side in assembly with the wheel speed sensor.

7. Remove the brake disc. Remove the Torx head screw.

8. Loosen the axle shaft mounting nut. Discard the nut.

9. Using special tools, remove the axle shaft from the wheel hub.

10. Remove the wheel hub. Unscrew the 4 bolts.

Installation


1. Clean the parts.

2. Install the wheel hub. Using special tools, insert the half shaft into the wheel hub. Tighten the 4 bolts. (tightening torque 115 Nm).



2. Install the wheel hub. Using special tools, insert the half shaft into the wheel hub. Tighten…


3. Install the new axle shaft nut and tighten it to a light torque.

4. The mating surfaces of the brake disc and hub must be clean.

5. Install the brake disc. Tighten the Torx head screw to 35 Nm.

6. Attach the brake caliper support plate to the steering knuckle. Tighten the bolts to 275 Nm. Adjust the wheel speed sensor.

7. Screw in the wheel speed sensor mounting bolt.

8. Secure the brake hose mounting bracket to the steering knuckle. Tighten the bolt to 22 Nm.

9. Tighten the new axle shaft nut. (tightening torque 350 Nm). Secure the nut to the axle shaft.

10. Press the brake pedal several times, check the level of working fluid in the brake hydraulic reservoir and top up if necessary.

11. Install the wheel. Tighten the wheel nuts. (tightening torque 140 Nm).
