General information

The front suspension is a fully independent design, which reduces unsprung weight compared to the solid axle used on previous Land Rover models. The front suspension includes an upper control arm, a lower control arm, a wheel knuckle with a hub, an anti-roll bar with struts in an assembly, and a shock absorber in an assembly. The shock absorber can be spring or air. Both types of shock absorbers have a similar design. For both options, with spring and air shock absorbers, the suspension parts are identical.

The suspension control arms provide maximum ground clearance and allow camber and caster angle adjustment using eccentric adjusters.
