Steering gear housing (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Remove the tie rod end. For more information, refer to Tie Rod End (57.55.07)

2. NOTE: Remember the position of the part.

Loosen the lock nut.

3. Remove the steering gear boot. Loosen the 2 clamps.

Installation

1. Install the steering gear boot.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Tighten the clamps.

2. Tighten the lock nut.

3. Install the tie rod end. For more information, refer to Tie Rod End (57.55.07)
