Ignition switch (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. For better access, move the steering column fully forward.

2. Remove the upper steering column cover. Release the 4 clamps.



3. Remove the lower steering column cover.

• Remove 3 Torx head screws.
• Release the steering column adjustment lever fastening.

CAUTION: Before removing the ignition switch, the ignition key must be removed from it.

Remove the ignition switch.

• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Squeeze 2 clamps.

Installation

1. Install the ignition switch.

• Secure with clamps.
• Connect the electrical connector.

2. Install the steering column covers.

• Tighten the Torx head screws.
• Secure the clamps.
• Secure the adjusting lever.
