Hood switch (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the right hood lock.

• Remove 2 Torx head bolts.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Remove the hood switch.

Installation

1. Install the hood switch.

2. Install the right hood lock.

• Connect the electrical connector.
• Tighten the Torx head bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

3. Open and close the hood to check the operation of the lock.

4. Adjust the hood lock.

• Loosen the 2 Torx head bolts securing the hood lock.
• Lower the hood and check that it is in the correct position.
• Open the hood and tighten the Torx head bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
• Check the operation of the hood safety lock.
• Repeat the adjustment procedure if necessary.
