Right engine mount (Discovery 3)

Removal


1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification

CAUTION: Never work on or under a vehicle that is supported solely by a jack. Always support the vehicle securely.


Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Remove the right exhaust manifold. For more information, refer to Right Exhaust Manifold (30.15.11)

4.
CAUTION: When performing this operation, it is necessary to protect the engine.


Remove the engine mount bracket.
  • Support the engine.
  • Unscrew the nut.
  • Remove 4 bolts.
Remove 4 bolts.


5. Remove the engine mount. Unscrew and discard the 2 bolts.

5. Remove the engine mount. Unscrew and discard the 2 bolts.


Installation


1. Install the engine support.
  • Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
  • Tighten the new bolts to 45 Nm and then another 60 degrees.
2. Install the engine mount bracket.


  • Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
  • Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 80 Nm).
  • Remove the support from under the engine.
  • Tighten the nut (tightening torque 90 Nm).
3. Install the exhaust manifold. For more information, refer to Right Exhaust Manifold (30.15.11)

4. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specifications
