Removal
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification
2. Remove the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

CAUTION: Never work on or under a vehicle that is supported solely by a jack. Always support the vehicle securely.
Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the exhaust system from the exhaust manifold. Unscrew and discard the 2 bolts.

5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Disconnect the high voltage (HT) electrical connectors. Move the wires aside to gain access.

7. Remove the exhaust manifold.
- Unscrew 6 nuts.
- Remove the gasket and discard it.

Installation
1. Install the exhaust manifold.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Install a new gasket.
- Tighten the nuts evenly and gradually. (tightening torque 25 Nm).

2. Connect the high voltage electrical connectors.
3. Raise the car.
4. Install the exhaust system.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Screw in new bolts and tighten them. (tightening torque 40 Nm).
6. Install the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)
7. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specifications
