Inspection and verification
1. Ensure that the customer's complaint is justified.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
3. If an obvious cause for the problem you identified or the customer described is found, resolve it before moving on to further action. (if possible).
Checking engine oil pressure - 4.0 l
NOTE: Before checking the engine oil pressure, perform a 10 km (6 mile) road test. Do not attempt to warm the engine to normal operating temperature by idling.
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

CAUTION: Hot engine oil will inevitably be spilled during this procedure, so take appropriate precautions to avoid scalding.
CAUTION: Use protective gloves.
Remove the engine oil pressure sensor. Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) Sensor (12.60.50)
3. Install the special tool.
4. Install the special measuring device, then tighten the connection.

5. Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary.
6. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
7. Start the engine and let it run.
8. Record the oil pressure readings with the engine running at idle and 3500 rpm.
9. Turn off the engine.
10. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
11. Remove the special tools. Clean the parts.
12. Install the oil pressure sensor. Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) Sensor (12.60.50)
13. Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary.
14. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
