Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

CAUTION: Never remove the coolant expansion tank cap when the system is hot, as steam or coolant escaping from the cap could cause serious injury, such as scalding.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system. For more information, refer to Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System (10/26/01)
4. Remove the viscous fan assembly. For more information, refer to Cooling Fan (26.25.19)
5. Remove the radiator grille. For more information, refer to Radiator Grille (76.55.03)
6. Remove the lower fan shroud.
- Release the 2 lower fan shroud clips.
- Loosen and remove the cooling fan shroud from the radiator.

7. Disconnect the expansion tank hose. Release the clamp.
8. Disconnect the upper radiator hose. Release the clamp.

CAUTION: To avoid contamination of the system, plug all open connections.
Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler hoses.
- Release the 2 clamps.
- Place a container to collect any spilled liquid.

10. Remove the radiator mounting pins. Compress the 2 clamps.
11. Remove the upper radiator deflector. Release the 2 clamps.

12. Remove the power steering heat exchanger.
- Release the clamps.
- Move the hose to the side and tie it.

14. Remove the clamp from the power steering heat exchanger pipe.

15. Remove the air conditioning pipeline mounting bolt.
16. Remove the air conditioner condenser.
- Remove two bolts.
- Release from 2 clamps.

17. Remove the radiator.
- Protection of parts from damage is required.
- Remove the radiator with outside help.
- Remove 2 radiator mounting bolts.

Installation
1. Install the radiator.
- Remove protective devices from the parts.
- Install the radiator with outside help.
- Align the radiator.
- Screw in the radiator mounting bolts.
- Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 25 Nm).
- Secure with clamps.
- Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 6 Nm).
4. Install the clamp onto the power steering heat exchanger tube.
5. Install the upper radiator deflector.
6. Install the power steering heat exchanger. Secure with three clamps.

7. Install the radiator mounting pins.
8. Connect the transmission fluid cooler hoses. Install the clamps.
9. Install the upper radiator hose. Install the clamp.
10. Install the lower radiator hose. Install the clamp.
11. Place the coolant expansion tank hose onto the upper radiator hose. Place the clamp on the coolant expansion tank hose.
12. Install the lower fan shroud.
- Install the lower fan shroud.
- Install 2 clamps onto the lower fan shroud.
14. Install the viscous fan assembly. For more information, refer to Cooling Fan (26.25.19)
15. Fill the cooling system with coolant. For more information, refer to Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System (10/26/01)
16. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.
17. Check the transmission fluid level in the automatic transmission.
