Rear side decorative panel 3-door car (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the rear seat.

SEATS, REPAIR WORK, Rear left seat.

SEATS, REPAIR WORK, Rear right seat.

2. Remove the Torx bolt from the lower rear seat belt mounting point to the body and move the belt to the side.

3. Unscrew the 4 Torx bolts securing the decorative panel to the body.

4. Release the 2 fasteners and remove the decorative panel.



5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tweeter, if installed.

6. Remove the decorative panel. If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system elements, then further disassembly operations should not be performed.

7. After noting the locations of the 3 long screws, remove the 10 Torx screws and remove the pocket from the trim panel.



8. Remove the 3 Torx screws securing the pocket trim to the trim panel and remove the trim.

9. Release the 6 clips and remove the speaker grille.

Installation

1. Place the speaker grille on the decorative panel to be installed and secure it with the clips.

2. Install the pocket cover and secure it with screws.

3. Install the pocket and secure it with Torx screws.

4. Install the fasteners on the decorative panel.

5. Attach the trim panel and connect the electrical connector to the tweeter if installed.

6. Install the decorative panel to the body and secure it with clamps and Torx screws.

7. Install the lower seat belt anchor and tighten the Torx bolt to 50 Nm.

8. Replace the rear seat.
