Deployment of the seat belt pretensioner
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out any work on the SRS system before reading the relevant sections of the Manual.
1. Follow all safety rules when working with the airbag system.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Forced operation of the SRS component.
2. Check the condition of the LRT-86-003 fixture and cables supplied with it.
3. Remove the top and bottom parts of a casing of a steering column.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the rotary contactor.
WARNING: Make sure the airbag module is securely attached to the steering wheel.
CAUTION: Make sure the tool is not connected to a battery.
5. Connect the electrical cable LRT-86-003-01 of the accessory to the back of the rotary contactor.
6. Connect the electrical cable LRT-86-003-01 to the LRT-86-003 tool.
7. Connect the LRT-86-003 tool to the battery.
WARNING: Make sure that all people are at least 15 m away from the vehicle.
8. To bring the airbag into action, press the power button on the fixture body.
WARNING: During activation, the parts of the airbag are heated to high temperatures, which can cause burns. After the airbag is activated, at least 30 minutes must elapse before the parts of the airbag can be touched.
9. Disconnect the tool's electrical cable LRT-86-003-01 from the rotary contactor.
10. Wearing gloves and a protective mask, remove the airbag module from the steering wheel.

11. Put the airbag module in a plastic bag and seal it tightly.
12. Dispose of the spent air bag module to a designated incineration area.
NOTE: Do not transport parts of deployed passive safety systems in the passenger compartment.
13. DO NOT reuse or recycle SRS components, including the steering wheel and steering column.
