Seat belt pretensioner activation
CAUTION: Do not perform any work on the SRS system until you have read the relevant sections of this Manual.
1. Follow all safety rules when working with the airbag system.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Forced deployment of the SRS component.
2. Check the condition of the LRT-86-003 device and the cables supplied with it.
3. Remove the upper and lower parts of the steering column cover.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the rotary contactor.
CAUTION: Make sure the air bag module is securely attached to the steering wheel.
CAUTION: Make sure the device is not connected to the battery.

5. Connect the electrical cable LRT-86-003-01 of the fixture to the back of the rotary contactor.
6. Connect the LRT-86-003-01 electrical cable to the LRT-86-003 fixture.
7. Connect the LRT-86-003 device to the battery.
CAUTION: Make sure all people are at least 15 m away from the vehicle.

8. To activate the airbag, press the power button on the device body.
WARNING: During activation, parts of the airbag are heated to high temperatures, which can cause burns. After activating the airbag, at least 30 minutes must elapse before the parts of the airbag can be touched.
9. Disconnect the electrical cable LRT-86-003-01 of the fixture from the rotary contactor.
10. Wearing gloves and a protective mask, remove the airbag module from the steering wheel.

11. Place the airbag module in a plastic bag and seal it tightly.
12. Dispose of the used airbag module in a designated waste incineration area.
NOTE: Do not transport parts of deployed passive restraint systems in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
13. DO NOT reuse or recycle SRS system components, including the steering wheel and steering column.
