Dismantling
CAUTION: Do not perform any work on the SRS system until you have read the relevant sections of this Manual.
CAUTION: When removing, checking, or installing the seat belt pretensioner, do not lean over it or expose the free end of the cylinder with the piston to your body.
1. Follow all safety rules when working with the airbag system.

2. Remove the rear console.

3. Disconnect the pretensioner electrical connector.
4. Remove the Torx bolt securing the pretensioner to the seat and remove the pretensioner.
WARNING: Store airbags or seat belt pretensioners only in a specially designated place. If there is no such place, then store these elements in a locked trunk or luggage compartment of the car, informing the technician about this.
Installation
NOTE: If a component of the passive restraint system needs to be replaced, the bar code of the new component must be recorded.
1. Install the seat belt pretensioner to the seat base and tighten the Torx bolt to 32 Nm.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the pretensioner and secure it to the seat base.
3. Reinstall the rear console.

4. Connect the battery terminals, negative terminal first.
