Dismantling


CAUTION: Do not perform any work on the SRS system until you have read the relevant sections of this Manual.


CAUTION: When removing, checking, or installing the seat belt pretensioner, do not lean over it or expose the free end of the cylinder with the piston to your body.


CAUTION: Before performing any repair or maintenance work on the passive restraint systems, be sure to remove the key from the ignition switch, disconnect the battery terminals and wait 10 minutes.


1. Remove the right rear seat.

2. Loosen 2 screws and remove the seat belt inertia reel cover.

3. Unscrew the nut and remove the inertia reel.

4. Remove 5 screws and both seat belt anchor covers.

5. Remove the 3 Torx bolts and remove the seat back from the cushion.

5. Remove the 3 Torx bolts and remove the seat back from the cushion.


6. Release the rear part of the seat cushion upholstery from its fastening to the frame.

7. Release the front and side parts of the cushion upholstery from the frame.

7. Release the front and side parts of the cushion upholstery from the frame.


8. Remove the cushion and upholstery from the frame.



9. Remove the Torx bolt securing the seat belt buckle and remove the buckle.

Installation


1. Install the seat belt buckle to the seat base and tighten the bolt to 32 Nm.

2. Place the seat cushion on the base.

3. Fix the front and side parts of the cushion to the frame.

4. Secure the rear part of the seat cushion to the frame.

5. Install the seat back and tighten the Torx bolts.

6. Install the seat belt anchor covers and tighten the screws securing them.

7. Install the inertia reel on the seat back and tighten its mounting nuts to a torque of 32 Nm.

8. Install the inertia reel cover and tighten the screws that secure it.

9. Replace the rear seat.
