Support tray — battery (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the battery.

ENGINE STARTING AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK Battery.

2. Models with cruise control system installed: Disconnect the connector and pipe from the power steering vacuum pump, if equipped.



3. Release the wiring harness retaining clips from the battery support tray.

4. Remove 4 bolts and the battery support tray.



5. Models with cruise control system installed: Remove the cruise control vacuum pump and bracket from the support tray, if equipped.

Installation

1. Models with cruise control system installed: Install the cruise control system mount and vacuum pump to the battery support tray.

2. Install the support tray and tighten the bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.

3. Secure the wiring harness clips to the battery support tray.

4. Models with cruise control system installed: Connect the connector and tube to the cruise control vacuum pump if equipped.

5. Install the battery.
