Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Models with automatic transmission: Remove the battery support tray.

3. Remove the engine soundproofing cover if installed.

4. Remove the terminal cover, unscrew the nut and disconnect the 2 wires from the starter solenoid.

5. Unscrew 2 bolts and remove the starter.

Installation


1. Clean the starter and mating surfaces from dirt. Clean the guide pin and the pin hole.

2. Install the starter, tighten the mounting bolts and tighten them to a torque of 45 Nm.



3. Connect the wire to the starter solenoid and tighten the nut to 13 Nm. Install the terminal cover.

4. Connect the connector to the starter solenoid.

5. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover, if equipped.

6. Models with automatic transmission: Reinstall the battery support tray.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
