Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the exhaust system heat shields.

3. Loosen the generator mounting bracket bolt. Turn the bracket away from the generator and remove it.

4. Remove the battery cable cover from the generator.

5. Loosen the nut securing the battery cable to the generator and release the cable.

6. Disconnect the connector from the generator.

7. Unscrew the nut and bolt of the lower generator mounting bracket.

8. Remove the generator from the mounting bracket.

Installation


1. Install the generator on the mounting bracket.



2. Tighten the lower nut and generator mounting bolt, but do not tighten them completely at this stage.

3. Connect the connector and install the battery cable to the generator and tighten the nut.

4. Install the battery cable cover.

5. Install the generator mounting bracket, tighten the bolts to 25 Nm.

6. Install the exhaust system heat shields.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
