Electric heater cable with positive temperature coefficient for models with Td4 engine.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Unscrew the bolt securing the electric heater wire from the positive terminal of the battery.
3. Remove the engine control unit from the unit, isolated from environmental influences ('E' box).
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: EDC, REPAIR WORK, Engine Control Unit (ECM).

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the transmission control unit and the air conditioning fan sensor.

5. Release the electrical cable from the ties and remove the relay from the inner casing.
6. Loosen and disconnect the electrical connectors of the air conditioning fan and connecting wiring.
7. Disconnect 3 electrical cables and the rubber air duct seal from the housing.
8. Press the latches and remove the fuse box cover.

9. Unscrew the engine control unit housing fastening nut.
10. Release the housing from the brackets and remove it.

11. Unscrew the 3 nuts securing the fuse box and move the fuse box to the side.
12. Remove the electric heater cable from the engine control unit housing bracket.

13. Remove the cover from the fuse holder for the positive wire of the electric heater.
14. Remove the electrical connector and disconnect the electric heater cable from the engine control unit cable.
15. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the electrical wire terminals from the fuse holder (80 amp) and remove the terminals.
16. Loosen the clamp securing the electric heater cable to the engine control unit housing bracket.

17. Remove the relay and cable of the electric heater from the bracket located on the bulkhead of the engine compartment.
18. Remove the control panel cover.

19. Release the fastener and remove the air duct of the right window blower nozzle.
20. Loosen and remove the air box.

21. Disconnect the 3 Lucar type connectors from the electric heater heating element.
22. Release the cable ties securing the electric heater cable to the main wiring harness.
23. Remove the air intake box.

24. Release the 2 electric heater cable fastening clips from the air intake box.
25. With the help of a partner, remove the 2 sealing bushings from the engine compartment bulkhead and remove the electric heater cable from the vehicle.
Installation
1. With the help of a partner, pull the electric heater cable through the engine compartment bulkhead and insert the sealing bushings into the bulkhead.
2. Insert the electric heater cable fastening clips into the air intake box.

3. Install the air intake box in place.

4. Tie the electric heater cable tie-downs to the main wiring harness.
5. Connect the Lucar type connectors to the heating element of the electric heater.
6. Reinstall the air box.
7. Install the air duct of the right window blower nozzle in place.
8. Replace the control panel.

9. Connect the electric heater cable connector to the engine control unit cable and then secure it.
10. Secure the electric heater cable and relay to the engine compartment bulkhead bracket.
11. Install the electric heater cable clamp to the engine control unit housing bracket.
12. Connect the positive wire terminals of the electric heater to the fuse holder (80 amps). Tighten the nuts to 7 Nm.
13. Replace the fuse cover (80 amp).
14. Secure the cable and relay of the electric heater to the bracket of the engine control unit housing.
15. Install the fuse box. Make sure that the electrical cable does not touch the suspension strut. Tighten the nuts with a torque of 10 Nm.
16. Replace the fuse box cover.
17. Fix the housing of the block, isolated from environmental influences, on the brackets ('E' box).
18. Screw in and tighten the housing mounting nuts.
19. Secure the electrical cable and rubber air duct seal to the body.
20. Tie the electrical cable ties and secure the relay in the housing.
21. Connect and secure the connectors of the connecting electrical wiring and the air conditioning fan.
22. Connect the electrical connectors of the air conditioning fan sensor and the transmission control unit.
23. Insert the electronic engine control unit into a unit isolated from environmental influences ('E' box).
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: EDC, REPAIR WORK, Engine Control Unit (ECM).
24. Pull the "positive" wire of the electric heater and secure it with the bolt. Tighten the bolt with a torque of 25 Nm.
25. Connect the negative battery terminal.
