Right Exhaust Manifold Gaskets: Americas (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the right catalytic converter.

POISONING SYSTEM, Positive crankcase ventilation valve: Td4 engine, Right bank catalytic converter: KV6 engine, North American market countries.

3. Unscrew the 4 nuts securing the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head, remove the manifold and dispose of the gasket.

Installation

1. Wipe the exhaust manifold and mating surface.

2. Install the exhaust manifold with a new gasket, fit the nuts and tighten them. Tightening torque 45 Nm.

3. Install the right catalytic converter.

4. Connect the negative battery terminal.
