Steering column pyrotechnic device (Freelander 2)
In vehicles destined for North America (NAS), the steering column is equipped with a pyrotechnic device that allows increased energy absorption if the driver is not wearing a seat belt. If the driver is wearing a seatbelt, this device will not work in the event of an accident. See steering column section for more information.
