Restraint Control Module (Freelander 2)

Removal

NOTE: The RCM must be replaced whenever any of the SRS components deploys.

1. Set the SRS system to the safe mode. Refer to the procedure: Standard Workshop Procedure (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).

2. Remove the floor console. Refer to procedure: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).

• Cut the carpet to gain access.
• Move the carpet to the side to gain access.

4. Tightening torque: 10 Nm

Installation

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

2. Using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, program the new RCM.
