Sunroof Curtain Rewinding Procedure (from VIN 154972) (Freelander 2)

1. Close the sunroof opening panel cover.



2. Disconnect the sunroof opening panel curtain from the guides. Turn the left corner counterclockwise and release the right corner from the frame.

NOTE: Rotate the sunroof opening panel in the direction shown in the illustration.

3. Open the sunroof opening panel cover.



4. Using a suitable pin or paper clip (see illustration), detach the sunroof opening panel blind from the support bracket and remove the blind from the vehicle.





5. Roll up the sunroof opening panel.

• Insert the spring-loaded pin into the sunroof opening panel blind.
• Using a suitable tool, hold and rotate the spring loaded axle.
• After 14 turns, release the spring-loaded axle 17 mm from the sunroof opening panel curtain.

NOTE: The sunroof opening panel must be turned 14 turns.

6. Install the sunroof opening panel curtain into the frame.

NOTE: Make sure the spring pin is properly positioned in the sunroof opening panel frame.

7. Install the sunroof opening panel curtain runners into the guides.

• Insert the right rail of the sunroof opening panel curtain into the guide.
• Insert the left runner clockwise into the guide.

8. Open the sunroof opening panel blind and check that it operates correctly.
