WARNING: Use caution when working near hot exhaust system components.
Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Be sure to support the vehicle securely.
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to procedure: Engine Cover - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4 (501-05 Interior Trim, Removal and Installation).

4. Using the special tool, remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S). Special tool: 310-121

Installation
1. For H02S sensor grease information, refer to the specifications section. Refer to procedure: Specifications (303-08B Emission Control - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Specifications).
2. Apply grease to the sensor threads.
CAUTION: Avoid getting grease on the tip of the HO2S sensor.
3. Install the HO2S sensor. Special tool: 310-121. Tightening torque: 45 Nm
4. Connect the HO2S electrical connector.
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to procedure: Engine Cover - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4 (501-05 Interior Trim, Removal and Installation).
