Side window hinges (Discovery 1)

Removal

1. Remove the window glass.

2. Remove the handle above the window.

3. Disconnect the front seat belt from the mounting post.

4. Remove the pillar panel to access the hinge.



5. Unscrew the hinge mounting screw, do not lose the spacers, remember the thickness and installation location of the spacers, (if installed).

Installation

6. Install the hinge and the previously removed spacers, tighten the mounting screw by hand.

7. Fasten the window glass to the hinge.

8. Install and secure the window latch.

9. Close the window with the latch.

10. If necessary, adjust the position of the glass by adding or removing spacers and moving the hinge along the mounting hole. Tighten the hinge mounting screw.

11. Reinstall the removed parts.
