Removal



1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Remove the door handle, trim panel, and plastic door seal.

3. Disconnect the inner handle rod from the lock.

4. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the inner handle and remove the handle together with the rod.

Note: Two identical Y-shaped levers are installed on the lock mechanism. The inner lever is the one closest to the inner door panel.


5. Disconnect the central locking drive rod from the drive and the inner Y-shaped lever (if installed).

6. Disconnect the door lock button rod from the inner Y-shaped lever.

7. Disconnect the control and locking rods from the upper outer Y-shaped lever.

8. Loosen the screws securing the locking mechanism bracket and the door handle, and remove the bracket.

9. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the door opening safety device ("child protection") drive and remove the drive.

10. Disconnect the lock rod from the outer Y-shaped lever.



11. Remove the outer Y-arm axle.

12. Unscrew the 3 lock mounting screws, remove the lock and the Y-shaped lever.

13. Disconnect the license plate light wires from the wiring harness.

14. Remove the retaining ring from the lock cylinder lever axle, remove the lever axles and the lock rod.

15. From inside the door, unscrew the two nuts securing the lock cylinder and the license plate lamp housing.

16. Remove the logo cap and through the opened hole unscrew one bolt securing the lamp housing.

17. Partially remove the housing and its rubber seals, remove the rubber plug of the wire harness, pull out the license plate lamp wires, remove the lamp housing assembly.

18. Disconnect the rod from the outer lock handle lever.

19. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the outer handle, remove the handle and seal.

Lock cylinder and license plate lamp housing






Disassembly



20. Unscrew the bolt securing the lock cylinder to the lamp housing, remove the cylinder and its bracket.

21. Remove the sealing ring (in the housing).

22. Remove the retaining ring securing the lock cylinder to the bracket, remove the cylinder with the lever assembly.

23. Remove the U-shaped lever retainer, lever and seals.

24. Remove the license plate light bulbs, wires and housing mounting bracket. Install all parts into the new housing.

25. Assembly and installation are carried out in reverse order.
