Type: 2.5-liter diesel engine with turbocharging and intermediate cooling

The firing order of the cylinders is 1-3-4-2

Fuel injection advance - 1.54 mm

Fuel injection advance with exhaust gas recirculation system - 1.40 mm

Fuel injection advance with electronically controlled high-pressure fuel pump — 0.45 mm plunger lift with piston at TDC

Installation marks

Valve timing - manual transmission groove in the flywheel for the installation pin and TDC mark on the front pulley.

Valve timing - automatic transmission groove in the toothed ring of the automatic transmission drive clutch along the installation pin (access via a board at the rear of the engine). TDC mark on the front pulley

Fuel injection advance - installation pins (special tool)

Valve clearance on a cold engine is 0.20 mm

Fuel injection pump

Standard version - Bosch R509 distributor-type fuel injection pump with boost control

With an exhaust gas recirculation system - Bosch R509/1 distributor fuel injection pump with a boost corrector, a mechanical two-mode regulator, an automatic injection advance angle controller and a fuel injection pump lever position sensor for recirculation control. It is prohibited to break the seal of the pump.

Electronically controlled injection pump (EDC) - Bosch R500 distributor injection pump with full electronic control of rotation speed and injection advance

Glow plugs

Manufacturer and type - No. 0100226129a Beru 12V, finger-type

Time to reach operating temperature of 850°C - 8 seconds
