Removal



1. Drain the coolant below the thermostat housing level.

2. Disconnect the radiator hose from the thermostat housing.

3. Disconnect the temperature sensor connectors.

3. Disconnect the temperature sensor connectors.


4. Remove the thermostat housing outlet pipe.

5. Remove the thermostat.

Examination



6. Check for the 88°C mark on the thermostat housing. Place the thermostat in the water and heat the water. The thermostat should start to open at 85-89°C

Installation



7. Install the thermostat into the housing with the ventilation hole facing up.

8. Install the thermostat housing pipe, tighten the mounting bolts to 28 Nm.

9. Reinstall the removed parts.

10. Fill the cooling system.
