Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Relieve the pressure in the cooling systems by unscrewing and wrapping the expansion tank cap.
CAUTION: Do not open the cap while the engine is hot, as you may be scalded by steam or coolant.
3. Lay a rag under the sensor to soak up the coolant.
4. Disconnect the connector from the thermostat sensor.
5. Release the sensor and remove it. Dispose of the gasket.
Installation
1. Clean sensor and mating surfaces.
2. Install the sensor with a new gasket and secure it.
3. Connect the connector to the sensor.
4. Remove the rags laid out earlier.
5. Make sure there are no leaks and add liquid to the tank to the mark "MAX".
6. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
