Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.
ENGINE KV6 - MODIFICATION K, Camshafts of the left cylinder head, Soundproofing engine casing.

3. Release the camshaft position sensor harness connector from the bracket and disconnect the connector.

4. Loosen the connector bracket mounting bolt and release the sensor wiring harness from behind the bracket.
5. Loosen the bolt securing the camshaft position sensor to the valve cover.
6. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor and discard the sealing washer.
Installation
1. Wipe the camshaft position (CMP) sensor and mating surfaces.
2. Lubricate the new seal with clean engine oil and place it on the sensor.
3. Install the engine camshaft position sensor in place, screw in the mounting screw and tighten it to a torque of 8 Nm.
4. Route the sensor wiring harness behind the connector mounting bracket, install the connector, screw in the bolt and tighten it to 8 Nm.
5. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector and secure it to the bracket.
6. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
