Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.



2. Unscrew the 5 screws securing the cover of the mounting box ("E" box). Remove the cover.



3. Disconnect 5 connectors from the engine control unit.

4. Release the two fasteners and remove the engine control module (ECM).

Installation

1. Install the engine control module (ECM) and connect the connectors.

2. Install the cover of the mounting box, screw in the screws and tighten them to a torque of 2 Nm.

3. Connect the negative battery terminal.

4. Start the control unit using the TestBook/T4 diagnostic tool.

CAUTION: The engine control unit allows no more than 20 reprogrammings.
