Vacuum pump (Tdi) (Discovery 1)

Note: the pump is not repairable. If the pump is damaged, install a new unit.


1. Release the pump cover latches and remove the cover.

2. Unfasten the jack mounting clamp and remove the jack.

2. Unfasten the jack mounting clamp and remove the jack.


3. Disconnect the rubber pump mounts from the body.

4. Remove the pump.

5. Remove the wiring connector cover and disconnect the connector.

6. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
