Third row seat (Discovery 3)

Removal

NOTE: Third row seats must be removed in pairs.

1. Remove the luggage compartment fasteners. Remove the 4 Torx head bolts.



2. Remove the luggage compartment trim panels. Release the 4 clips.

NOTE: Torx head bolts can be reused.

Remove the third row seats.

• Release the upholstery.
• Remove 10 Torx head bolts.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Separate the third row seats.

• Remove the seat frame trim.
• Drill out 6 rivets.
• Remove 2 brackets.

Installation

1. Connect the third row seats.

• Install the brackets.
• Install the rivets.

2. Install the third row seats.

• Tighten the Torx head bolts (tightening torque 40 Nm).
• Secure the upholstery.

3. Install the luggage compartment trim panels. Secure with clamps.

4. Install the luggage compartment mounts. Tighten the Torx head bolts. (tightening torque 25 Nm).
