Removal


1.
CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.


Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the wheel.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector of the anti-lock brake system (ABS) sensor. Release the clamp of the wiring harness.

4. Remove the wheel speed sensor from the wheel knuckle.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness.
  • Remove the bolt.

5. Remove the wheel speed sensor. Release the wiring harness from the four clamps.

Installation


1. Make sure the wheel speed sensor mounting surface on the wheel knuckle is free of dirt.

2. Install the wheel speed sensor. Insert the wiring harness into the four clamps.

3. Attach the wheel speed sensor to the wheel knuckle.
  • Tighten the bolt (tightening torque 9 Nm).
  • Insert the wiring harness into the clamp.

4.
NOTE: Make sure the electrical connector retaining clip is secured to the body wiring harness.


Connect the electrical connector of the anti-lock brake system (ABS) sensor. Connect the wiring harness.

5. If a new wheel speed sensor is installed, perform an ABS system query using T4.
