        0
The yaw rate and lateral acceleration sensor transmits data to the ABS module (anti-lock braking system) yaw rate and lateral acceleration signals.

The yaw rate and lateral acceleration sensor is mounted under the center console and is secured to the transmission tunnel with two bolts and.

When the ignition switch is in position II, the yaw rate and lateral acceleration sensor receives ignition voltage from the CJB (switching unit). Self-diagnosis of the sensor is performed by the ABS module (anti-lock braking system), and its condition can be checked using T4. ABS module (anti-lock braking system) transmits yaw rate and lateral acceleration signals via a high-speed CAN bus (controller network) for use by other systems.

ABS module (anti-lock braking system) checks the yaw rate and lateral acceleration sensor for faults. If a fault is detected, the ABS module (anti-lock braking system) stores the associated fault code, illuminates the DSC indicator lamp and, on vehicles with a low-level instrument cluster, the HDC indicator lamp. A warning chime sounds and, on vehicles with a high-level instrument cluster, an HDC fault message is displayed in the message center display.
