The yaw and lateral acceleration sensor transmits to the ABS module (anti-lock braking system) yaw and lateral acceleration signals.
The yaw and lateral acceleration sensor is installed under the center console and is attached to the transmission tunnel with two bolts and.
When the ignition switch is in position II, the yaw and lateral acceleration sensor receives ignition voltage from the CJB (switching unit). Self-diagnosis of the sensor is carried out by the ABS module (anti-lock braking system), and its status can be checked with T4. ABS module (anti-lock braking system) transmits yaw and lateral acceleration signals via high-speed CAN bus (controller network) for use by other systems.
ABS module (anti-lock braking system) checks the yaw and lateral acceleration sensor for faults. When a malfunction is detected, the ABS module (anti-lock braking system) stores the appropriate DTC, turns on the DSC warning light and, on vehicles with a low instrument cluster, the HDC warning light. A warning chime sounds and on vehicles with a high-level instrument cluster, the message center display shows an HDC fault message.
