Shelf for additional battery (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Remove the battery cover. Release the 2 clamps.



2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

3. Remove the additional battery, if applicable.

4. Remove the upper engine compartment heat shield.

• Remove the screw.
• Release the 2 clamps.

5. Remove the side wall of the additional battery compartment.

• Release the positive battery cable and grommet.
• Release the 4 clamps.

6. Release the air conditioner pipes. Remove the screw.





7. Remove the additional battery tray. Unscrew the 3 nuts.

Installation

1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order. Tighten the nuts. (tightening torque 12 Nm).
