Dismantling
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle.
CAUTION: Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with safety stands.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Remove the rear brake pads.

4. Disconnect the brake pipe from the wheel cylinder.
CAUTION: Always plug the fittings and holes to protect the system from dirt.
5. Unscrew the 2 wheel cylinder mounting bolts and remove it.
6. Remove rust completely with a wire brush.
7. Clean the brake shield and brake drum with brake cleaner.
CAUTION: Do not use compressed air to clean the brakes. Do not use mineral-based fluids. Their use may cause damage to the rubber components.
Installation
1. Install the wheel cylinder on the brake shield. Tighten the mounting bolts to 8 Nm.
2. Connect the brake pipe to the wheel cylinder and tighten the pipe coupling to a torque of 17 Nm.
3. Install the brake pads.

4. Remove air from the brake system.

5. Replace the wheel(s) and tighten the nuts to 115 Nm.
6. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
