Inspection and verification

1. Ensure that the customer's complaint is justified.

2. Visually inspect for obvious electrical problems.

3. If an obvious cause for the problem you identified or the customer described is found, resolve it before moving on to further action. (if possible).

4. Use the approved diagnostic system or scan tool to retrieve all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) before accessing the DTC Index.

U200152	Reduced system performance	Bluetooth Error - System Not Activated	Perform the MOST General Check in this section and on the prescribed diagnostic system. Refer to the "Network Communication" section in the workshop manual.
U200168	Reduced system performance	Event information - Temperature above 70°C registered Not a malfunction. The system "hung" while cooling the system.	This event occurs when the ECU reduces functionality to prevent the system from overheating. This is normal ECU operation and is not a malfunction. Clear/ignore this DTC.
U20019A	Reduced system performance	Event Information - Base Plate Module (BPM) temperature above 70°C is detected. Not a fault. The system has frozen while cooling the system.	This event occurs when the BPM reduces functionality to prevent the system from overheating. This is normal ECU operation and is not a malfunction. Clear/ignore this DTC.
U201A54	Basic control module calibration data	Local configuration file missing (not loaded) in the control module	Configure the module using an approved diagnostic system.
U30004A	Control module	Internal audio unit data memory failure	Check the power and ground circuits of the component. Refer to the electrical manual. If the module is suspect, refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual.
U300044	Control module	RAM Base Plate Module (BPM) failure (data memory failure leading to possible corruption of the local configuration file)	Configure the module using an approved diagnostic system and load the local configuration file.
