Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) 4.4L (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 4.4L (12.30.50)

NOTE: Removal from the right side is similar to this procedure.

Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.

• Disconnect the plug connector.
• Remove the Torx head screw.
• Discard the sealing ring.

Installation

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Install the sealing ring.
• Tighten the Torx head screw (tightening torque 7 Nm).
