Removal


1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2.
CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.


Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Remove the generator. For more information, refer to Generator (86.10.02)

4. Disconnect the ground wire. Unscrew the ground wire mounting bolt.

4. Disconnect the ground wire. Unscrew the ground wire mounting bolt.


5. Remove the engine mount bracket. Remove the nut.

CAUTION: The engine must be protected during this operation.


Remove the engine mount bracket.
  • Support the engine.
  • Remove four bolts.
Remove four bolts.


7. Remove the engine mount. Remove the two bolts and discard them.

Installation


1. Install the engine support.
  • Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
  • Screw in new bolts.
  • Tighten the two new bolts. (tightening torque 45 Nm), then another 60 degrees.
2. Install the engine mount bracket.
  • Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
  • Tighten the four bolts. (tightening torque 80 Nm).
3. Connect the engine mount bracket.
  • Lower the engine onto the support.
  • Tighten the nut (tightening torque 90 Nm).
4. Connect the ground wire. Screw in the bolt.

5. Install the generator. For more information, refer to Generator (86.10.02)
