The cylinder block has a "closed" V-shaped design, providing high internal rigidity and low vibration. The small volume of the cooling jacket reduces warm-up time and piston noise levels.; the longitudinal direction of the cooling jacket channels with one hole in the cylinder head for supplying coolant in each row increases rigidity and improves the fit of the cylinder head gasket. The right cylinder bank has the index "A" (cylinders 1 to 4), and the left row of cylinders is index "B" (cylinders 5 to 8).
