2. Set heater controls to maximum.
3. Disconnect a wire of weight from the storage battery. Specification.
4. Remove the engine cover. Engine cover - 2.7L Diesel (12.30.50)

WARNING: Do not remove the coolant expansion tank cap when the system is hot, as steam or coolant escaping from the cap could cause serious injury such as scalding.
Remove the expansion tank cap.
6. Remove the radiator access panel. Turn out 4 bolts.
7. Install a container to collect the liquid.

CAUTION: Coolant can damage paintwork. If coolant is spilled, remove it immediately and flush the area with water.
Loosen the clamp, disconnect the lower radiator hose and drain the coolant.
9. Remove container.
10. Remove the spare wheel with tire.
- Remove the tool kit.
- Get access to the jack.
12. Disconnect the rear heater coolant hoses.
- Release 2 clips.
- Let the coolant drain.
13. Remove container.
14. Connect hoses of a cooling liquid of a back heater. Fasten two clamps.
15. Install the spare wheel with tire. Reinstall the tool kit.
16. Connect and secure the lower radiator hose. Fasten the clamp.
17. Connect a wire of weight to the storage battery. Specification
18. Put on exhaust pipes hoses of an extract of exhaust gases.
19. Loosen the screw to remove air from the expansion tank.
20. Loosen the bleed screw on the cylinder head bleed hose.
21. Fill the cooling system.
22. Tighten the bleed screws (tightening torque 14 Nm).
23. Fill the cooling system keeping the coolant level in the expansion tank at the top mark until a steady stream of coolant returns to the tank.

NOTE: After bleeding the cooling system and before installing the expansion tank cap, add coolant to the expansion tank until the level is 30 mm above the upper mark.
Install the expansion tank cap.

CAUTION: Relieve pressure in the cooling system by slowly unscrewing the expansion tank cap a quarter of a turn. Cover the expansion tank cap with a thick cloth to prevent scalding. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
Start the engine and let it run.
- Maintain the engine speed at 3000 rpm for one minute.
- Let the engine run for five minutes at idle.
- Maintain the engine speed at 3000 rpm for one minute.
- Let the engine run until the thermostat opens.
- Remove expansion tank cap, allow float to settle and top up coolant if necessary. Install the cover.
27. Install the engine cover. Engine cover - 2.7L Diesel (12.30.50)
28. Remove any remaining coolant from the chassis and surrounding areas.
29. Install the radiator access panel. Tighten 4 bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
30. Check the coolant level, top up if necessary.
