Shock sensor (distributed safety system) (Discovery 1)

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Left sensor only: Loosen the power steering pump reservoir clamp and lift the reservoir to access the sensor.

Diesel only: Remove the jack and jack mounting bracket.



3. Disconnect the sensor connector.

Caution: Do not disconnect other security system connectors while the sensor connector is disconnected.

4. Unscrew the two screws securing the sensor.

5. Remove the sensor.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order. The tightening torque of the fastening screws is 10 Nm.

7. Check the system's functionality using the TESTBOOK tester.
