1-Chassis Inner Cross Beam
2-Brake pedal buffer
3-Brake light switch
4-Brake pedal
5-Pin with head with hole and cotter pin
6-Brake pedal bracket

The brake pedal is attached to a bracket mounted on the rear of the engine compartment bulkhead. On left-hand drive models with a manual transmission, the brake pedal uses the same bracket and pivot bolt as the clutch pedal. On right-hand drive models with a manual transmission, the brake pedal uses a separate bracket. A pin with a hole in the head and a split pin connect the brake pedal to the brake booster rod. A brake pedal bumper is mounted on the inboard chassis crossmember to limit rearward movement of the brake pedal in the event of an accident.

The brake light switch is mounted on the brake pedal bracket and is activated by the brake pedal. For more information, refer to Anti-Lock Control - Traction Control (206-09A Anti-Lock Control - Traction Control)
