Air suspension muffler (Discovery 3)

Removal


1.
CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.


Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the muffler assembly. For more information, refer to Muffler (10/30/11)

3. Remove the EVAP canister. For more information, refer to Evaporative Emissions Canister (17.15.13)

4. Remove the air suspension air compressor. For more information, refer to Air Suspension Compressor (60.50.10)

5. Remove the air suspension air compressor top cover.

5. Remove the air suspension air compressor top cover.


6. Disconnect the air suspension filter inlet pipe.

7. Remove the air suspension muffler.
  • Release the air suspension muffler pipe clamp.
  • Disconnect the pipes connecting the air suspension air compressor to the air suspension muffler.
Disconnect the pipes connecting the air suspension air compressor to the air suspension muffler.





Installation


1. Install the air suspension muffler.
  • Connect the air suspension muffler pipes.
  • Secure the clamp.

2. Connect the air suspension filter inlet pipe.

CAUTION: Make sure the air suspension air compressor top cover is installed correctly.


Install the air suspension air compressor top cover.

4. Install the air suspension compressor. For more information, refer to Air Suspension Compressor (60.50.10)

5. Install the fuel vapor canister. For more information, refer to Fuel Evaporative Control System Charcoal Canister (17.15.13)

6. Install the muffler assembly. For more information, refer to Muffler (10/30/11)
