Removal



1. Raise the car on a lift.

2. Disconnect the steering shock absorber from the rod.

3. Using the LRT-57-018 puller, remove the ball joints of the tie rod ends.

4. Remove the rod.

Disassembly



5. Loosen the tie rod end retaining bolts.

6. Unscrew the tips.

7. Unscrew the rod length adjuster (left-hand thread).

Assembly



8. Reinstall the removed parts. Lightly tighten the tip retainer bolts.

9. Screw the tip in to the full thread length.

10. Turn the length adjuster to set the size 9 mm as shown in the figure.

11. Turn the tip to set the size 28.5 mm as shown in the figure.



12. By turning the second tip, set the length of the rod to 1230 mm (for initial wheel alignment).

Installation



Attention: it is not allowed to correct a bent rod using a straightening iron, install a new rod.


13. Connect the tie rod ends. Tightening torque 40 Nm.

14. Adjust the toe-in of the steering wheels.

15. Connect the steering shock absorber.
