High pressure control solenoid valve (Discovery 1)

1. Remove the rear evaporator.

2. Release the valve connector from the bracket clip.

3. Disconnect the valve connector.

4. Loosen the nuts securing the tubes to the valve and hold the valve with a second wrench.

5. Unscrew the two screws securing the valve to the fan housing.

6. Disconnect the tubes from the valve.

7. Discard the sealing rings and plug the tubes.

8. Remove the valve.

8. Remove the valve.


9. Remove the two screws securing the valve bracket to the valve.

10. Remove the bracket.

11. Remember the orientation of the valve (according to the arrow on the body), loosen the valve solenoid mounting screw.

12. Remove the electromagnet.

Installation



13. Install the solenoid on the valve.



14. Tighten the solenoid mounting screw by hand.

15. Attach the bracket to the valve.

16. Install new sealing rings and tighten the tube mounting nuts by hand.

17. Secure the valve to the fan.

18. Tighten the nuts securing the tubes to the valve to a torque of 14 Nm.

19. Tighten the screw securing the solenoid to the valve.

20. Reinstall the removed parts.
