Boost Pressure Control Solenoid Valve (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Place the vehicle on a lift.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

3. Raise the car.



4. Disconnect the connector from the boost pressure control solenoid valve.

5. Label and disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses and the vent hose from the boost control valve.

6. Unscrew 2 bolts and remove the solenoid valve.

7. Unscrew the 2 nuts and remove the solenoid valve from the mounting bracket.

8. Check the rubber mountings of the solenoid valve for damage and replace if necessary.

Installation

1. Install the rubber feet onto the bracket.

2. Install the solenoid valve on the rubber supports and tighten the fastening to a torque of 5 Nm.

3. Install the electronic vacuum valve bracket on the turbocharger and tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.

4. Connect the atmospheric and vacuum hoses.

5. Connect the electrical connector.

6. Lower the vehicle.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
