Boost pressure sensor (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.

ENGINE - Td4, Inlet and outlet camshafts, Engine soundproofing casing, models produced before May 2002.

3. Loosen the 2 clamps and remove the outlet hose from the air-to-air radiator.



4. Release the wiring harness and fuel return line tubes from the clamps on the intake manifold.

5. Disconnect the connector from the boost pressure sensor.



6. Loosen the bolt and remove the boost pressure sensor. Discard the gasket.

Installation

1. Wipe the boost pressure sensor and its installation location.

2. Place a new gasket on the sensor and secure it with a bolt to the intake manifold. Tightening torque 8 Nm.

3. Connect the connector to the boost pressure sensor.

4. Secure the fuel return hoses and wiring harness to the clamps on the intake manifold.

5. Install the intercooler air outlet hose and tighten the clamps.

6. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
